Zero Point

Sigh. I hate it when something that looks really interesting is in fact "crap". The worst part is Zero Point is a basic fact of dimensional physics, well understood. This idiot writer just makes it sound like crap. Sigh.

Thing is, Zero Point means just that. At the base of all dimensions the universe can be thought of as a single point. First dimension is a line, composing the whole universe. Second, a popular theory if you happen to be Russian, is a plane (sheet) where the 3rd is imaginary. Not sure if I buy that claim. I'm more inclined to think of light being a particle which skips the 3rd Dimension and is 2nd and 4th and probably higher. Humans are supposed to be 3rd and 4th dimension, some probably perceiving higher dimensions in a limited sense. There is a distinct probability that beings exist in higher dimensions, which is why there are no UFO's popping up on the lawn at MIT, the OBVIOUS PLACE for UFO's to land. It also goes a LONG way to explaining weird histories like gods, atlantis, and UFO's. If you're higher dimensional life, you can probably pop into this one, then pop over to the next semi-parallel universe, assuming string theory or equivalent systems are correct. Maybe things like dragons were real, they just don't live here in this timeframe. After all, time is just another direction to a higher dimensional being. Is Zero Point magic? Nope, just a definition. Like English is a name for a language, not the language and all its words and rules. Perhaps someday our descendents will be able to access these higher dimensions and do something useful with it. Or not.
